We started 2FitDoctors because we meet so many people who are hungry for the type of content we’re creating. There’s a large population who get past middle age and are still waiting for their lives to start. We feel like all they need is a little motivation and some guidance from a source they can trust and they’re on their way to thriving.

I started lifting to get bigger and stronger for football, and found bodybuilding. I loved it! My body loved it; it wasn’t difficult for me to put on size and I was getting a lot bigger and starting to win shows. I was getting ready for the Jr. Nationals when I had an injury that changed the trajectory of my life. I had a small aneurysm burst when I was doing a really heavy leg press. Fortunately, there was no damage, but when it happened, I blacked out, had an excruciating headache and was blind in one eye for a few minutes, not to mention almost being crushed. The whole episode made me rethink pursuing a pro bodybuilding career.
I’ve had a few other fairly severe injuries that produced more obstacles (including having a spinal disc surgery), but I’ve never stopped lifting or my pursuit of fitness. The point is not letting hardships stump you in your tracks. Everyone I know who’s my age is out of shape and taking medications. With 2FitDoctors, I want to show people they can thrive too, once again; even if there’s limitations they might have to work with. We want to inspire people by showing them what we do and then challenging them to go do it! Our videos are meant to arm you with the right information so you can do exactly what we do to stay so fit and healthy.
Chiropractic is where I learned about posture, biomechanics of the spine and how injuries occur anatomically. This information greatly influences the strength programs I recommend and is a huge advantage for any of my students…. not only will their numbers go up, but their spine will become stronger and more resilient to injury. It was bodybuilding that got me into chiropractic; I started that in high school and loved all the dieting and nutrition aspects. Chiropractic was natural health care and that coincided well with my fitness interests. But chiropractic also allowed a rehab component and that meshed well with weight lifting/strength training, but the two never came together for me until powerlifting.
I found it much easier to track your gains in powerlifting. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the genetics to take it very far, however I learned a ton about what it takes to make the body stronger. After pushing max weights for so many years, my knees degenerated and I needed knee replacements at 45. I was in constant pain, didn’t have health insurance and was too young/nor interested in surgery. As I was looking for a different career, it was actually Dr. Beau who saved me! He introduced me to regenerative medicine and stem cell injections revived my joints to the point I could train and work again.
